Physicals and Forms

Physicals are extremely important if you want to run cross country or participate in any sport. Let me emphasize something first:
YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RUN OR PARTICIPATE IN ANY SCHOOL ATHLETICS WITHOUT A VALID PHYSICAL. NO EXCEPTIONS
So, check when your last physical was. If you got your latest physical this spring, awesome! Last summer? Not so much.
  • You don't need a physical for optional summer training workouts, but once the second week before school starts comes and we start official practices, your physical needs to be valid. In order for it to be valid, it has to be dated after April 15, 2017.
  • To get a physical packet, you can visit any AISD school and pick one up. You can also print one out from this link, but it's a decent number of pages. You only need a sports physical.
  • You can get a free physical from AISD in the spring, you can get one at your local doctor under insurance, or you can get one at a medical clinic like MedSpring.
Message from Coach B: "if you are new to LASA this year, and might be running on varsity, you need to complete the Previous Athletic Participation Form and get it to me ASAP. You can download the form at http://www.uiltexas.org/athletics/forms."
