Travel
We will depart school on Friday, October 28th at 11:30, so students will miss the last two periods that day (it's a B day). You'll be excused for a field trip those two periods, but you need to check in with those teachers. Coach Croston and I will be driving an activity bus and a large SUV, respectively. All athletes will travel together with us. We'll go directly to the course, which is open until 5:30 p.m., walk the course, then go to the hotel to check in and get ready for dinner. We have a reservation at BJ's for Friday night for the team.

We'll head back to Austin after the races on Saturday morning, and should be back to school mid afternoon (we'll stop for lunch).

Hotel
We are staying at the Hyatt Place Corpus Christi, 6773 S. Padre Island Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78412. They have a hot and cold breakfast, so we should be good for breakfast options on Saturday. There will be two rooms for boys and two rooms for girls. The beds are queen (not double) and each student room has an additional couch that folds into a bed.

Meet Info (from the organizer) - Saturday, October 29th
Location: Islander Cross Country course on the grounds of the TAMU-Corpus Christi Dugan track and soccer stadium, 700 Nile St. Corpus Christi, TX 78412
Directions to Course: From I-37. Exit Highway 385 SPID (South Padre Island Drive) and go south. Exit Highway 385 at Nile St. exit and go left. Meet site is two stop signs up Nile. See map section for alternative routes to the course to avoid traffic.

Parking-there is no fee for parking. Spectator parking will be in one of two places depending on the weather.
If weather is dry and fields are dry then parking will be in the fields located across from the tennis courts on Nile.
If weather is wet and we are unable to safely park cars on the grass then parking will be in the main parking lots on the TAMU-CC campus. Signs will direct you to the on campus parking areas and shuttle buses will shuttle you back and forth from campus to the cross country course.

Girls run at 9:40 a.m. and boys run at 10:20 a.m.
Meet results will be posted on line at www.goislanders.com and www.chuckscore.com

State Qualifiers: The top four teams and top 10 individuals not on a qualifying team will qualify for the UIL state meet.

Per Diem
All athletes receive a per diem for food for both days - which means I will cover all food expenses with the AISD travel credit card. Athletes will only need money if they wish to purchase an official Regional shirt at the meet.
