Updates on Summer Training

Thanks for the checking out the site again! I'm happy to say we've finalized the summer training schedule and you can find the entire schedule on our calendar page located below. NOTE: These summer training practices are OPTIONAL, but encouraged. However, if you want to become a better runner, this is a great way to get started, and they'll help prepare you for the coming season. These practices are run by the captains and have no involvement with the coaches.

It looks like we'll be having workouts on Monday and Wednesday all summer starting next week. Usually, those workouts will be one speed workout and one strength. We'll be meeting at Austin High School (usually, hover for more info) from 7:00 to 8:30 PM (or if you're cool, 19:00 to 20:30). Check the calendar often to stay updated!
Then, we'll have weekly long runs on Saturday from 6:00 to 7:00 AM. (STARTING SATURDAY, JUNE 11) We'll be meeting at Philosopher's Rock near the Barton Springs Pool. I know it's early, but the weather will be awesome and you'll thank yourself for coming out. Plus, I hear it's a tradition to go to Barton Springs afterward and jump in while it's still free! I'm looking forward to it!
We'd love to see as many of you as possible come out for summer training because we want to meet all of you and (informally) kick off the season with some fun running! See you guys there!
