Summer Training

This summer, the captains will be hosting optional training workouts that runners are welcome to come to get in shape.

We'll have three workouts a week, with two track workouts, each at Austin High School Track. These workouts are designed to get the team outside, running, and build community.

Then, on the weekend, we'll have one long run at philosopher's rock, near Barton Springs pool. Also, we have breakfast afterwards, so it's a great time. We'd like to see lots of people come out on the weekend for long runs, but we understand if you've got other commitments, you're on vacation, or it doesn't fit your schedule.

Cross-fit training is encouraged if you've got another sport that you're dedicated to. Like Buddhism, cross country fits well with other sports, and you can still definitely come out for cross country practices. We'd love to see you there!
